Digital Content Manager

Clarksville, TN

Scope

The Digital Content Manager supports the organization’s role of destination marketing by developing and distributing on-brand written, visual and video content for the organization’s digital platforms including website, social media channels, email newsletters and third-party channels.


 General Responsibilities

  • Develop consistent on-brand content and messaging for all social channels to grow followers and engagement, and encourage positive online conversations.
  • Produce and curate content for multiple digital applications including social platforms, website, blogs, enewsletters, etc.
  •  Identify and secure rights to user-generated content to grow VCTN’s visual library and support overall marketing efforts.
  • Schedule and maintain a comprehensive SEO-driven content calendar for social media, blogs, e-newsletters, special events, partner recognition and influencer engagements.
  • Serve as the organization’s in-house photographer and videographer, diligently working with partners and vendors to create and maintain comprehensive and updated visual assets.
  • ·Maintain the destination’s content (CMS) and database (DMS) website to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Foster relationships with industry and community partners to aid in the development and curation of new content, staying up to date on new developments, events and visitor experiences.
  • Maintain destination information on third-party websites.
  • Track and report key performance metrics relative to goals and analyze data for making decisions.
  • Maintain the VCTN App, app-specific curated content, and monthly reporting.
  • Order promotional items for use as giveaways at consumer and trade shows.
  • Participate in appropriate local, state and national organizations, growing existing and fostering new partnerships and pursuing professional development opportunities.
  • Research new technologies, strategies, best practices, trends and engagement opportunities applicable to VCTN and the destination.
  • Support the development of social and website content to promote sales efforts, where applicable.
  • Document processes and procedures of the position.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Marketing & PR or Executive Director.


Skills Required

  • Resourceful, well-organized, dependable and detail-oriented.
  • Manages multiple tasks and uses good time management skills.
  • Excellent computer software skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4.
  • Demonstrated marketing experience producing SEO-driven content and photography and video content that produce desired online behaviors
  • Social media business account management (all channels)
  • Photo and video production and editing tools.
  • Demonstrated experience with a variety of writing assignments.
  • Basic familiarity with database platforms and HTML
  • Bonus: Demonstrated knowledge of online marketing analytics.
  • Bonus: SEO Certification
  • Bonus: Basic design and layout skills using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in a related field.
  • Prefer 2-3 years of work in the field of marketing or communications.


Requirements

  • This employee may experience long periods of sitting or standing. The employee will be required to work both inside and outside an office setting, perform occasional evening and weekend work, attend special programs and events, and travel. This work may involve public appearances.
